Isaiah 50:4-The Ear, The Tongue, The Heart
The Ear of a learner-inspired teachers and speakers are first and foremost inspired listeners and learners.
God awakens the teacher every morning so that one may listen and learn.
To be godly teachers requires that we first spend time listening to God and learning for God's word.
This scripture speaks of two critical aspects of the ministry of teaching:
- To teach and
- To listen to those who teach.
The Tongue of a teacher-when we spend time listening to God,
we receive the words and message we are to share with others.
The Holy Spirit will teach us everything and remind us of all that Jesus has said to us.
The Heart of a teacher encourages hope. Many people are too busy, scared, or distracted to take time to listen to God. Godly teachers have listened to God and have been given God's word to strengthen those who have grown tired on their journey.
