Pastor's Aide Society
"Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor
especially those who labor in preaching and teaching the laborer
deserves to be paid" I Timothy 5:17-18
The society will serve the office of pastor not the person and offer
support above and beyond what the local church provides.
The Pastor's aide is able to carry out its responsibility in the following ways:
- By raising funds to assist the pastor.
- Accompanying the pastor on preaching engagements.
There are various ways that the society can assist the office of pastor:
- Celebration of pastor's birthday, anniversary, and years of service in ministry.
- Offer extra finances for any conference sessions.
- Furnish pastor with vacation funds.
The society in some churches does not report income or disbursements,
However, a policy on how and who will make disbursements is wise and good
Stewardship.
