President's Address
Derek H. Anderson
Connectional President RAYAC
"A charge to keep I have,
A God to glorify,
A never-dying soul to save,
And fit it for the sky." ~ Charles Wesley
In this ever evolving world, we have a charge to keep. We must, as demands the motto of the Richard
Allen Young Adult Council, "be about our father's business!" Meeting the fast-paced demands of this
age require combining new ministry and outreach tools with the fervor of our predecessors for building
God's Kingdom on Earth. The RAYAC stands poised at the intersection of those ideals. It is our desire
to compel church growth by providing effective leadership training and cultivating gifts, talents,
and skills.
Sheila Kaye-Smith eloquently characterized our demographic in this statement, "I am old enough to see
how little I have done in so much time, and how much I have to do in so little." We are talented beyond
measure and possess the tools to the task at hand.
As great shifts occur in our Zion, we are committed to maintain stability by focusing on strengthened,
empowered, able leadership within the young adult demographic. Join us as we aim "to serve the present
age, [our] calling to fulfill: O may it all [our] powers engage to do [our] Master's will!"
